Mbabane – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, in partnership with UNICEF, launched a week-long WASH Regulation Capacity Building Workshop to strengthen water, sanitation, and hygiene governance in Eswatini.
The workshop brings together policymakers, service providers, and other stakeholders to tackle challenges in the WASH sector. It aims to enhance regulatory capacities and improve service delivery across the country.
Over four days, participants will gain practical knowledge of the WASHREG Framework, assess Eswatini’s current WASH regulatory landscape, and identify key measures to strengthen institutions and regulations. The workshop will also focus on developing a strategic plan to align national WASH policies with Sustainable Development Goal 6 and the Africa Water Vision 2025.
