MBABANE – Football fans across Eswatini are gearing up for a week of top-flight action as tickets for the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup are now on sale. The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) confirmed that fans can purchase tickets at numerous outlets nationwide ahead of the tournament, which kicks off this weekend at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
The 8Bet Trade Fair Cup will see the country’s leading football clubs compete for the prestigious trophy, promising excitement and high-level competition. Clubs expected to participate include Mbabane Highlanders, Manzini Wanderers, Young Buffaloes, Royal Leopards, Malanti Chiefs, Moneni Pirates, and several others from across the kingdom.
Ticket options have been designed to accommodate all fans. A single-header ticket, granting access to one match in a day, is priced at E60. Double-header tickets, for two matches in a day, cost E50, while a full tournament pass, which provides access to every fixture from the opening matches through to the final, is E320. The PLE has urged supporters to act quickly, as quantities are limited and popular matches are expected to sell out fast.
To ensure accessibility, tickets are available at multiple outlets in each region. In Manzini, fans can visit Engen Interchange, Puma GV, or MTN E-Top-up shops, while Mbabane residents can secure tickets at Total Energies Gardens near the Hilton Garden Inn, and MTN E-Top-up locations at the New Mall and Woodlands Total Filling Station. Other regions offering tickets include Nhlangano, Siphofaneni, Piggs Peak, Buhleni, and throughout the Lubombo region.
The PLE has also introduced a convenient WhatsApp ticketing system for fans who prefer to purchase from home. Supporters can text “PLE” to +18622034403, follow prompts to select stadiums and match dates, and complete payment using MTN Mobile Money. This system is intended to beat queues and make access to matches easier for fans across Eswatini.
The tournament schedule promises action from start to finish. Opening matches on Saturday, August 30, include Nsingizini Hotspurs facing Tabankulu Celtics and Malanti Chiefs taking on Moneni Pirates. Other fixtures over the week include encounters involving Mbabane Highlanders, Ezulwini United, Green Mamba, Manzini Sea Birds, Manzini Wanderers, Royal Leopards, Amawele, and Sisonkhe. Quarter-finals are set for September 1 and 2, semi-finals on September 5, and the final match will take place on September 7 at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early to avoid missing out on one of the biggest sporting events in Eswatini this year.
