MBABANE – A major leap in Eswatini’s education sector is underway as InnoTech International Academy launches a Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programme targeting primary and high school learners.
The initiative, which caters to students from Grade 1 to Grade 12, is designed to equip Eswatini’s youth with critical skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Learners will gain hands-on experience in robotics, machine learning, and coding, with over 25 real-world projects included in the curriculum.
Speaking on the rollout, InnoTech’s Public Relations Director, Ms. Sanelisiwe Jaide Thwala, said the goal is to develop the creative and problem-solving abilities of learners while positioning schools at the forefront of technological education.
The programme includes weekly sessions held during and after school hours, access to AI-powered robotics kits, and free teacher training. It also features learning management systems tailored for robotics and accommodates sign language teachers for deaf and mute learners. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in international competitions and earn globally recognized certifications.
Several local institutions have already joined the initiative, including Saim Christian High School, Achievers Primary School, and Sydney Williams Primary School. More schools are expected to join as awareness of the programme grows.
Registration costs E100, with monthly subscription fees varying by selected modules such as game design, animation, AI, and coding.
