Mbabane – The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, has officially appointed a new Board of Directors for the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA).
The announcement, made during a press briefing today, follows the conclusion of the previous board’s tenure. The new team of professionals includes representatives from the private sector and various government ministries, selected for their leadership experience and expertise.
The private sector is represented by Mr. Muzi Siyaya and Ms. Mbali Sibanyoni. Government representatives include Mr. Henry Mndawe from the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Sifiso Khumalo from the Ministry of Finance, Ms. Lungile Mndzebele-Dladla from the Ministry of Economic Planning, and Mr. Kingdom Mamba from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Mr. Albert Chibi will represent the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade.
The incoming board is responsible for corporate governance and strategic oversight. They will support the authority in attracting investment, improving the ease of doing business, and identifying new growth sectors.
EIPA is a central institution in facilitating both domestic and foreign direct investment. The authority’s work focuses on job creation, industrial growth, and maintaining the country’s competitiveness as an investment destination.
Khumalo stated that the appointments reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring public enterprises are led by capable and ethical leadership to deliver meaningful results for the nation.
