According to the COVID-19 regulation entertainment places remained banned and they were considered high risk and hotspots for COVID-19 transmission.

Recently the South African government has opened the selling and distribution under strict regulations. Despite opening of other industries as easing of lockdown, the entertainment sector remains banned thus artists took it to the streets demanding government to open the industry.
