Mbabane – The third edition of the INSTACASH Regional FA Cup was officially launched this morning at Sigwaca House, unveiling an expanded and more competitive structure set to reach all corners of the country.
The launch was attended by executives and competition committees from the four Regional Football Associations, namely HRFA, SRFA, LRFA and MRFA.
INSTACASH Managing Director Mandla Cheeks Mnguni Nxumalo outlined major changes aimed at boosting grassroots football. He announced that all teams affiliated to Regional Football Associations will first compete in league-level eliminations, with the top four from each league advancing to a one-day tournament. Champions of these tournaments will receive a brand new Joma Sport South Africa kit along with prize money.
A total of 56 leagues will take part, resulting in 56 tournaments and 56 champions, each walking away with a full soccer kit sponsored by INSTACASH.
Nxumalo also revealed a new competitive twist to this year’s edition. All league champions will progress to a Champ of Champs knockout tournament, which will determine the overall champion in each region. The four Regional Champions will then meet in a one-day National Championship Tournament, with the venue and date to be announced.
The two finalists at national level will be rewarded with Joma Sport South Africa tracksuits, an additional full soccer kit, soccer balls, bibs, vests, drawstring bags and prize money, a package designed to strengthen teams beyond the field of play.
With a widened structure and increased incentives, the third INSTACASH FA Cup promises to be the most inclusive and competitive edition yet, bringing renewed excitement to grassroots football nationwide.
