Mbabane – The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, in collaboration with Eswatini Legal Aid, recently hosted a training session on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), aimed at enhancing the skills of Legal Aid Officers. The training was facilitated by Judge Ossumane from Mozambique and supported by UNDP Eswatini.
Held to improve the effectiveness of dispute resolution, the program focused on methods like mediation, conciliation, and negotiation. These approaches are crucial in reducing case backlogs and providing faster, more affordable justice, especially for vulnerable and marginalized groups within the kingdom.
Through this initiative, Legal Aid Officers are gaining practical tools to better serve the public and support the Ministry’s goal of ensuring accessible and equitable justice for all. The Ministry expressed gratitude to Judge Ossumane and UNDP Eswatini for their ongoing support in advancing justice sector reforms in the country.
