Johannesburg – Giorgia Meloni, the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, has arrived in South Africa ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit. Her arrival at Fireblade Aviation was warmly welcomed by Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Nonceba Mhlauli.
Meloni’s visit underscores Italy’s active role in the summit, which will bring together world leaders to discuss key issues like economic recovery, sustainable development, and global collaboration.
The longstanding relationship between Italy and South Africa is based on shared economic interests and cultural exchange. Both countries have strengthened ties through trade, investment, and joint initiatives in technology, renewable energy, and healthcare.
