The Johannesburg show of American rapper Kanye West has been postponed following the removal of initial promoters Monyake Group from the project. The concert, originally scheduled for 13 December 2025, will now take place on a new date to allow for an expanded production and broadcast plan, according to a statement from West’s manager, Peter Jideonwo.
The statement confirmed that Yeezy LLC is no longer working with Monyake Group due to non-compliance. Fans who purchased tickets will receive full refunds through TicketPro.
The postponement comes after a similar situation in Brazil, where West’s concert in São Paulo was cancelled. The Interlagos Racetrack, initially booked for the show, terminated its agreement in October, and the city later refused to provide a public venue. Organisers Guilherme Cavalcante and Jean Fabrício Ramos said efforts to meet production requirements and costs could not overcome the logistical and political challenges, forcing the cancellation.
Yeezy LLC assured fans that West remains committed to performing in South Africa and across the continent, and a new date for the Johannesburg show will be announced via his verified channels in the coming days.
