Nairobi – A delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has travelled to Nairobi, Kenya, for a benchmarking study tour aimed at strengthening the country’s electric mobility policy.
Led by Principal Secretary Lindiwe Mbingo, the mission took place from 10 to 11 November 2025 and included senior officials from key ministries and government agencies. The team met with several of Kenya’s leading energy and transport institutions, including the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), BasiGO, eBee, and the State Department for Transport.
During the visit, the delegation examined Kenya’s policy frameworks, tariff structures, and innovations in electric vehicle infrastructure, such as local assembly and battery-swapping systems. The exchanges provided practical insights to support Eswatini’s development of its National Electric Mobility Policy.
