Ezulwini – The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology joined Eswatini TV and the cast of Ekhaya for the premiere of the second season of the popular local drama series at Julios Cinema last night.
The red-carpet event drew artists, producers, and media stakeholders who came together to celebrate the return of one of the country’s most beloved television shows, known for its authentic portrayal of Eswatini life and culture.
Speaking during the launch, the Principal Secretary in the Ministry, Prince Mshishimba, expressed pride in the growth of locally produced content that celebrates Eswatini’s identity. He said productions such as Ekhaya play a vital role in preserving siSwati and promoting national pride through storytelling rooted in the daily lives of emaSwati.
“It is inspiring to witness television content that reflects our culture and identity. As emaSwati, we must take pride in our language and heritage. Our broadcasters and actors are key voices in preserving and promoting siSwati — our language, our pride,” he said.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to supporting the growth of Eswatini’s creative industry through policies and programmes aimed at nurturing local talent and expanding the country’s cultural reach.
