Mbabane – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) has entered into a new partnership with the Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE) through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation, improving institutional security and protecting the integrity of both organisations.
The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony attended by senior officials from both institutions. National Commissioner of Police Manoma Vusie Masango signed on behalf of the police service, while Central Bank Governor Dr. Phil Mnisi represented the financial institution.
Dr. Mnisi said the collaboration establishes a structured framework for the police to provide security services to the Central Bank. He noted that the bank’s commitment includes logistical support such as a dedicated vehicle for officers stationed at its facilities.
He described the partnership as a step toward building stronger institutional relations that benefit the nation by ensuring efficiency and safety within the country’s key institutions.
National Commissioner Masango welcomed the collaboration, saying it would improve the police’s operational capacity. As part of the agreement, the Central Bank presented a quantum kombi to the police service to assist in its daily operations.
