The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology has received top honours at the 10th Eswatini Customer Service Excellence Awards held on Friday evening, 31 October 2025. The event celebrated organisations and leaders that have shown outstanding commitment to improving service delivery in the Kingdom.

The ministry walked away with two major awards, the Innovation of the Year award for its “Government In Your Hand” initiative and the Government Ministry of the Year award. The initiative, which allows citizens to access government services easily through digital platforms, has been hailed as a major step in bringing efficiency and convenience to emaSwati.

Honourable Minister Savannah Maziya was also specially recognised with the Outstanding Record Breaker Award for her leadership in advancing Eswatini’s digital transformation. The award recognised her role in steering the ministry’s reforms with excellence, humility and a people-centred approach that has reshaped how government interacts with citizens.

Minister Maziya said customer service should always reflect respect and dignity. “Customer service is not just a transaction; it is an expression of dignity. Every interaction with a citizen must say you matter, your time matters, your needs matter. Through ‘Government In Your Hand,’ we are building a future where government services are accessible anywhere and anytime, restoring trust, honouring dignity and empowering every liSwati,” she said.
