Matsapha – The Siphila Nabo National Clothing Collection Campaign was launched on Monday at the Red Cross Warehouse in Matsapha to support vulnerable families across Eswatini.
The campaign is led by the Philani Maswati Charity Organization in partnership with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, Eswatini Red Cross, ADRA, and other community stakeholders. It calls on the public to donate clothing items, which will be distributed to families in need nationwide.
Eco-friendly collection bags have been placed at all Tinkhundla Centres to make it easier for citizens to contribute. The campaign will run until September, aiming to bring warmth and restore dignity to struggling communities.
Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla was represented by Principal Secretary Siboniso Nkambule at the launch, who urged emaSwati to give generously. “This campaign is a call for unity and compassion. Together, we can clothe the nation,” Nkambule said.
Those in attendance included Philani Maswati Chairman Lutfo Dlamini, Hhohho Regional Chairman Mavovo Mkhonto, Red Cross representative Noel Simelane, Princess Tsandzile, pastors, and other community leaders supporting the nationwide drive.
