MBABANE — The Mbabane Swallows, affectionately known as the “Birds,” are set to travel to South Africa this Saturday for a pair of practice matches at Mangweni Stadium. These warm-up encounters are a crucial part of the team’s preparations for the new football season.
The day’s schedule includes an 11:00 am clash against Sibange Young Bucks, followed by an afternoon return to the pitch at 2:30 pm to face Junior Callies. The coaching staff views these games as a vital opportunity to assess the squad’s readiness, test out new combinations, and build essential momentum ahead of competitive action. The matches also offer a unique chance for dedicated supporters to see the team’s progress up close.
In a show of continued fan support, special transport arrangements have been organized for Swallows supporters. The return trip is set at E250, with departure scheduled for 7:00 am sharp from both Manzini and Mbabane. Payments can be conveniently made via MoMo to 7855 5435.
The update on the team’s plans was officially confirmed by the National Supporters Committee Chairman, Mboni Dludlu, during an appearance on the VOC FM Sports programme hosted by Thabiso Mike Shabangu.
