LOBAMBA – The annual Umhlanga Reed Dance returns from September 2 to 8 at Ludzidzini Royal Residence, drawing thousands of young women from across Eswatini. Visitors, both local and international, can experience more than the festival itself. The kingdom offers a blend of culture, history, and natural beauty that makes a stay unforgettable.

1. Attend the Reed Dance
Experience the heart of Swazi tradition as unmarried young women gather reeds and present them to the Queen Mother. Bright bead-encrusted skirts and coordinated dances create a visual spectacle, symbolising unity, purity, and respect for the monarchy.
