MBABANE – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade is closely monitoring the recent decision by the United States to impose a 10% tariff increase on imports from Eswatini, a move expected to negatively impact local exporters.
In response, the ministry is engaging with relevant stakeholders to gather information on which products will be affected. Once the official list is received, the ministry plans to consult further with impacted traders to assess the implications and determine necessary actions.
Eswatini’s government remains committed to upholding strong trade relations with the United States while ensuring a business environment conducive to economic growth and resilience.
