Ezulwin i- Eswatini has secured a spot among Africa’s business elite, ranking 10th in the World Bank’s 2025 Business Ready (B-READY) report, a recognition that underscores the Kingdom’s growing appeal as a destination for investment and economic growth.

Speaking during the Business Eswatini Annual Reflections held under the theme “King, Country, and Business,” the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade said the ranking is a clear signal that Eswatini’s reform agenda is yielding tangible results.

The World Bank has ranked Eswatini as the 10th best-performing country in Africa for ease of doing business, recognising the Kingdom as one of the continent’s leading reformers in improving the business environment. The Minister described the achievement as “monumental,” noting that it reflects strong political will, effective public and private collaboration, and a shared national vision for economic transformation.

According to the Minister, Eswatini’s strong performance is anchored in substantial improvements across critical areas, including business registration, dispute resolution, trade facilitation, and the expansion of digital government services. These reforms have reduced bureaucratic delays, improved transparency, and enhanced efficiency for both local entrepreneurs and foreign investors.

A key highlight of the reform programme is the establishment of a one-stop investment shop, which the Minister described as a game-changing initiative. The facility consolidates essential services under one roof, significantly simplifying procedures for starting, operating, and expanding businesses in the country.

“This unified approach removes unnecessary barriers and sends a powerful message that Eswatini is open, ready, and competitive,” the Minister said, adding that the one-stop shop is expected to stimulate both foreign direct investment and domestic investment, particularly in high-impact sectors of the economy.

As Eswatini continues to align its economic policies with global best practices, the Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to deepening reforms and ensuring that the benefits of a business-friendly environment translate into job creation, inclusive growth, and sustainable development.
