Mbabane – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has appointed Sharon Maziya as the consultant tasked with overseeing the organisational restructuring of the Civil Service Commission (CSC). This was confirmed at a handover ceremony on Wednesday at the Commission’s offices in Mbabane.
Speaking at the event, UNDP representative Linda Nxumalo praised Maziya’s extensive background, describing her as an experienced human resources expert with a proven track record in organisational development and public sector reform.
The restructuring comes as part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to implement its Strategic Plan, which was developed with support from the UNDP. CSC Chairperson Simanga Mamba expressed that this is a pivotal moment for the Commission, noting that the restructuring aims to enhance the efficiency, professionalism, and integrity of the public service.
“This restructuring is a critical step forward for us. It is about improving institutional effectiveness, streamlining service delivery, and ensuring that the Commission can fulfil its constitutional duties more efficiently,” Mamba said.
