Berlin, Germany – Uganda has made strides in enhancing its global profile, showcasing its growing potential in tourism and sustainable investment at the Germany-Uganda Investment & Tourism Forum in Berlin on December 2, 2025. The event, organized by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), highlighted the country’s diverse tourism offerings, particularly its “Big Seven” wildlife, and its potential as a competitive hub for investment across sectors such as agriculture, tourism, mining, and science (ATMS).
The forum drew considerable attention from German tour operators and investors, who expressed keen interest in the opportunities Uganda offers. Dr. Andreas Hube, the Federal Managing Director of the BWA Global Network, praised Uganda’s progressive economic policies and committed to supporting sustainable partnerships between Uganda and Germany.
This event followed the Uganda-Germany Tourism and Investment Forum held earlier in the year, on November 27, in Frankfurt. Hosted by the Uganda Embassy, under the leadership of Ambassador Stephen Mubiru, the forum gathered government officials, travel operators, and private sector leaders from both countries. Amb. Mubiru spoke of Uganda’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Germany, particularly in tourism and coffee exports, and emphasized the country’s investor-friendly environment.
The engagements concluded with both parties agreeing to establish follow-up working groups aimed at promoting tourism and facilitating investment for the coming years. These efforts are set to support Uganda’s ambitions to enhance its position as a key player in both tourism and sustainable investment on the global stage.
