Taipei – Minister of Public Service Mabulala Maseko and Minister of Education and Training Owen Sabelo Nxumalo have been met by the Republic of China (Taiwan) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lin Chia-lung, to discuss issues of mutual interest and expand cooperation between the two countries.
The ministers leading the Eswatini delegation met with Lin on July 29 in Taipei City who welcomed them saying that their visit underscores the deep and robust relationship between the two countries.
Lin last visited Eswatini in late April as President Lai Ching-te’s special envoy. He also attended His Majesty King Mswati III’s 57th birthday celebration.
Taiwan said the various projects implemented in Eswatini are aimed at enhancing the well-being of the people of Eswatini.
Lin also told the delegation that the Taiwan government expects these initiatives to help bolster Eswatini’s national development for mutual benefit and prosperity.
The ministers appreciated Taiwan’s hospitality and the glimpse of its culture.
The Eswatini delegation attended a luncheon hosted by Deputy Foreign Minister François Chih-chung Wu.
Minister Nxumalo also engaged in in-depth discussions with Education Minister Cheng Ying-yao who said the two nations have a strong foundation in education cooperation.
