MBABANE – Renowned South African musician, Mduduseni Ndzimande, popularly known as Dumi Mkokstad, has confirmed his invitation to the “A New Dawn“ live recording show, scheduled for June 7, 2025 at Mavuso Trade Centre.
“Yes, I am coming, everyone please make sure you buy your tickets, I will be there as well, please come to my sister’s live recording, we shall see each other there, God bless you,” this confirmation was posted by Nothando Hlophe on her social media platforms.
Patrons have shown interest and excitement with the announcement of Dumi Mkokstad, a gospel singer and songwriter. The comments on Facebook kept on coming.
“Now you are talking. I love that minister Nkhosi,” Sizwe Mamba commented. Another, Mlandvo Magagula said, “Ahh guys listen to Dumi. It will be fun there, trust me I am going.” Siphiwe Dlamini commented, “Eish now we really can’t miss this show, no we can’t.”
The musician began his musical journey at the age of nine in Cabazana, Mount Ayliff. He has released numerous studio albums including “Calvary” in 2020, which won him a South African Music (SAMA) Award. He also won the Best Gospel Songwriter for ‘Vumbelimnandi “at the Crown Gospel Music Awards. The Overflow Gcwala Kimi’ (2023), also won him other awards and recognition.
Mkokstad has also been nominated many times. Mkokstad is also involved in philanthropic activities, including a foundation that provides school supplies and an academy for developing creative talent in children. He will be joined by other South African, talented artists namely Ayanda Ntanzi and Zaza Mokhethi.
Ayanda Ntanzi is a Gospel singer, songwriter and gospel minister who is also a qualified lawyer. He has been making waves since his career began to soar high in 2015.
Ntanzi has released hits including ‘Nasempini’, ‘I am Safe’ and ‘He is Alive’ tracks. He is an award – winning South African, Best Praise Song award at the 2018 SABC Gospel Crown Awards.
He signed to Koko Records and has performed alongside Benjamin Dube. Zaza Mokhethi, was born to perform at the age of 3, where she had started doing backing vocals for renowned gospel artists such as Rebecca Malope, Vicky Vilikazi, Solly Mahlangu. Zaza has been part of South Africa’s biggest Gospel Album Joyous Celebration 12, Spirit of Praise 4 and 5, Women Praise, she is the voice behind South African favorite gospel hits including, Jezebel, Calvary and Zonk’lzono.
