MBABANE – The House of Worship Ministries marked a significant milestone on Saturday as it celebrated its first anniversary and official church launch at St Mark’s High School Hall in Mbabane.

The event drew government leaders, church leaders, gospel artists, congregants, and supporters from across the country.

Founded by Reverend Dr. J.V. Mazibuko on June 3, 2025, the ministry has experienced remarkable growth within its first year, establishing branches in Mbabane, Mhlambanyatsi, Piggs Peak, and most recently Nhlangano.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Prime Minister Mmiso Russell Dlamini and Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula, alongside several religious leaders and members of the Christian community.

The programme was directed by Mr. Malinga and Mnqobi Tsabedze. Addressing attendees, Mr. Malinga described the ministry as a young and growing church guided by the slogan, “Only that is done for God will last.”

He highlighted the church’s mission of preaching Christ to all people and pointed to its theme scripture, Matthew 6:33, which encourages believers to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Speaking on behalf of the bishops and the board of deacons, Tengetile Simelane welcomed guests to the celebration.

She acknowledged the presence of several church leaders and gospel artists, including Bishop Nkhambule, Apostle Sandile Mlambo, Reverend Griffiths Dlamini, Make Malaza, Pastor Nkambule, Apostle Justice Dlamini, Reverend Mngometulu from Luyengo FEA, as well as gospel artists Nelly Siwela, Nothando Dlamini, Donny Ngwenyama, and the ministry’s worship team.

Pastor Zothile Motsa, one of the pastors within the ministry, congratulated Reverend Dr. Mazibuko on behalf of the pastoral leadership. She also introduced leaders of the ministry’s branches, namely Pastor P. Ginindza of the Mhlambanyatsi branch, Pastor Patrick Gumbi of the newly established Nhlangano branch, and Pastor D. Dlamini of the Piggs Peak branch.Motsa emphasized that the anniversary celebration was not solely about the founder but about the entire church family.

“This anniversary belongs to the House of Worship, not Mazibuko alone. It belongs to the pastors who stand beside him and all the workers in the church. These are the people who make our church functions possible,” she said.

Reflecting on his journey, Reverend Dr. Mazibuko expressed gratitude to those who had supported him throughout his ministry. He paid tribute to several church leaders who had mentored and encouraged him over the years and thanked everyone who attended the celebration.“The initial plan was to build one church and hand it over after three to five years, but we ended up opening other branches in Mhlambanyatsi, Piggs Peak, and Nhlangano,” he said.

Mazibuko revealed that there are already expectations for the ministry to expand beyond Eswatini, with potential branches in Ermelo and Nelspruit in South Africa.

He highlighted leadership development, healing, and restoration as key pillars of the ministry. Focusing on healing and restoration, he said the church seeks to support what he described as “orphaned ministries and pastors.”

“We will all enter heaven by grace, not by perfection, so let us all extend grace to everyone,” he said.

The celebration featured worship performances, gospel music, prayers, and messages of encouragement, as congregants reflected on the ministry’s achievements during its first year and looked ahead to continued growth and service.
