Mbabane: You reap what you saw.

It is that time of the season where the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) is rewarding the good work of players and teams in the MTN Premier League first round.

The prize presentation event was held on Tuesday at Sigwaca House, where the army side striker Phiwayinkhosi “Silwabelwabe” Dlamini swept the boards, taking home E20 000.

Phiwa is the only player in the current season to have scored four goals in one match and that was when Young Buffaloes trashed Tinyosi 8-0 at Prince of Wales. He finished the first round with 13 goals.

The Army side dominated the awards after their coach, Sabelo Mnisi was announced as the best coach of the first round and his team walked away with the first round incentive of E350 000 under the nose of Royal Leopard in the last game of the first round.

Phiwa who joined Young Buffaloes from the now-defunct Midas City said this was his best performance in his football career. He said he was enjoying his game and hoped that more goals and trophies for the club were on the way. “Being in the national team has helped me because it is where I share some experience with other strikers including Sabelo “Sikhali” Ndzinisa, despite that we are playing in the same league,” he said. He went on to say that there is a lot he is learning from Ndzinisa.

Phiwa further said as a team they are working hard and their wish is to win every game. “We have not given up in the League as there are many games to be played. I am happy to have won these awards but there is still a lot that I need to do so that I can archive more,” he said. Representing the Premier League of Eswatini Chairman was Charles Matsebula who presented the winners and Lando Dlamini from MTN.
