Mbabane: MTN Spotlight Season 2 winner Sethu Magagula has signed a one-year management contract deal with Hala Group entertainment.
Hala Group Entertainment is a Record Label which is owned by a well-known Talent Manager and Creative genius, Larry Mhlanga.
Speaking about the deal, Mhlanga said he has set up a team of experts who will work closely in grooming the artist. The Hala Group Entertainment is home to fresh Award-Winning Duo A2Z_Fusion, Comedian Mdura, MIKADO, and many other brands and Artists.
Agreement
According to Mhlanga, the agreement entails management of the music entertainment activities of Sethu, including personal appearances for promotional purposes, as well as performances by the Artist whether or not before an audience.
It also entails live and recorded content for exhibition, simulcast, or broadcast, the making of audio and audio-visual recordings of performances of the Artist. From the deal, the artist will also benefit from the writing of musical compositions and producing, engineering, mixing, re-mixing, and supervising the recordings.
Part of the obligations of Hala Group to the artist Mhlanga said thy entail all management of performances the rendition of music and performances, including, but not limited to singing, speaking, conducting or playing an instrument, acting, delivering, playing in, interpreting, otherwise performing literary and artistic works
Music
Sethu Magagula is not new to music as she started doing music at a younger age. Sethu continues to explore her musical abilities as she is studying Music, Drama, and Performance at The University of KwaZulu-Natal.
She is immersing herself with music and has turned life’s lessons into songs; with an intention of one day pursuing a solo music career. In 2020 she joined the MTN Spotlight singing competition and emerged a winner.
She is currently in the studio working on her debut Album at SubJamz Studios, courtesy of MTN Eswatini. Drawing on influences of Afrobeat, RnB, Soul, and AfroHouse, each song on the upcoming Album tells a different story of the journey to self-discovery, acceptance, and hope; of which “Bambelela” her new single which is set to drop in the next weeks is only the beginning. Her Album features some of the finest top Artists; the likes of Denzel, KrTC, and MTN Spotlight finalists.
