MBABANE– Zweli Msibi, popularly known as Zweli The Vocalist, is using the fifth edition of his annual Experience to create a platform for 20 upcoming artists to showcase their talent and connect with new audiences.
The 5th Edition Experience, scheduled for October 3 at the Manzini Nazarene (SANU) Auditorium, is expected to bring together emerging musicians, poets, dancers, DJs and other creatives for an overnight celebration running from 6pm until 6am.
For Zweli, the event is about more than celebrating his own musical journey. It is an opportunity to give young and upcoming creatives the stage time and exposure they often struggle to access.
The initiative has gradually developed from Zweli’s birthday celebration into a platform focused on supporting local talent. In 2025, his fourth edition was held at Wendy Lounge in Siphofaneni, with Zweli explaining that the event had become a movement aimed at showcasing emerging artists and celebrating local creativity.
The latest edition features a wide-ranging lineup, including Frans CEO, Diba Diba, Pacman SD, Ntsetse Musician, Millano, Mndeni, Yung Cash, Slow Boy, Melizwe The Poet, M.V.A, Jack Rallie, Black Malto, Studio Da King, Wezz, C2K, Sibzet, Toolbox, DJ Xokza, SuperTainment, Kimberly, Black Amos, African Dance Group, Simmy, Pesuu The Comedian, De Beast and Snapping. Bayanda MC We Country will serve as MC.
Zweli’s commitment to creating opportunities for emerging artists is not new. In 2023, he was among the 20 artists selected for the MTN Bushfire Firefly music competition, a platform designed to identify and develop under-the-radar talent.
His own musical career has also continued to grow. He has released singles including Ingoma, Umhlaba and Ungakhali, the latter featuring C2K. Ungakhali, released in November 2025, was inspired by relationship struggles and the challenges faced by people who leave their loved ones behind while pursuing opportunities and providing for their families.
With the fifth edition, Zweli is therefore turning the spotlight outward, using his platform to give other creatives an opportunity to be seen and heard.
The event’s presale tickets are priced at E90, while entry at the venue is E130. It will run from 6pm until 6am, promising a full night of music, entertainment and creative expression.
