Mbabane: The MTN Bushfire Firefly voting lines to choose the top ten contestants from the current top 20 MTN Bushfire Firefly contestants is now open.

The Top 10 contestants who will be voted will perform at the long-awaited MTN Bushfire Firefly 2021 Finale on 25 June 2021, at House on Fire, which will be streamed and broadcast live on various digital platforms, including the MTN Bushfire App, Y’ello Hub, and Eswatini TV.

Information sourced from the MTN Bushfire website states that once the top ten have been selected, voting will begin for the three winners, who will perform at the MTN Bushfire 2021 Digital Festival on 27 August.

This year, the MTN Bushfire 2021 Digital Series kicks off an exceptional Firefly segment with lots of new opportunities for the current contestants, including informative plug-in platforms for aspiring artists powered by MTN Eswatini, such as the multi-dimensional Ayoba chat app, playlists on MusicTime, and streaming on Y’ello Hub.

Previous votes have been retained, and voting will continue from where it was left off in March 2020, therefore contestants still need their votes to ensure they have a chance to make it to the next round, giving them a chance to become the next champion.

During the voting, MTN Bushfire stated that fantastic prizes will be given away during the build-up to the grand finale of this MTN Bushfire Firefly, including tickets to the MTN Bushfire Firefly Exclusive Fan Zone.

Launched in 2017, MTN Bushfire Firefly is targeted at the “Young. Gifted. Free.” This vibrant platform aims to create a music space without limitations for the youth of Eswatini, to share their musical creativity and lyrical authenticity through freedom of expression. This competition has predominately been a digital platform since its inception, raising awareness of global digital music platforms and paving the way for artists to explore sustainable opportunities.

The organizers of MTN Bushfire Firefly thanked emaSwati for the loyal and continuous support of aspiring local artists.  “Everyone is encouraged to share, celebrate and be part of this one-of-kind creative movement in The Kingdom of Eswatini”.
