MBABANE – South African Metro FM DJ and producer Lulo Cafe is set to headline one of Eswatini’s most anticipated annual birthday celebrations when Thembinkosi Mthethwa’s Annual All Black Party returns to 23:28 Lounge on October 9, 2026.
Born Sikhululo Maliwa, Lulo Cafe is a renowned deep-house DJ, music producer and media personality who has built a strong following across Southern Africa through his distinctive soulful and Afro-house sound.
He is also a familiar voice on Metro FM, where he hosts Supreme Lounge on Sunday evenings from 6pm.
His upcoming performance is expected to be one of the major highlights of this year’s celebration, with partygoers set to experience a night centred on house music, fashion and nightlife.
The event celebrates Mthethwa, the lead actor of popular Eswatini television drama Ekhaya and owner and CEO of 23:28 Lounge.
Although Mthethwa’s birthday falls on September 23, the annual celebration is traditionally held shortly afterwards, giving friends, celebrities, entertainment personalities and nightlife enthusiasts an opportunity to come together and mark the occasion.
As its name suggests, the All Black Party has also become known for its distinctive dress code, with guests expected to turn up dressed entirely in black.
A growing entertainment tradition
What began as a birthday celebration has developed into one of 23:28 Lounge’s signature annual events, attracting increasing attention from the local entertainment and nightlife scene.
