SITEKI — The Siteki Town Council is approaching the final stages of a major revitalisation project at Siteki Park, with 80 percent of the work already complete. The project aims to transform the park into an inclusive hub for recreation, wellness, and community engagement.
Central to the upgrade is a 390-metre jogging trail, offering residents a safe space to exercise away from busy roads. The Council is also installing outdoor gym equipment with stations for cardiovascular training, strength building, and flexibility, complementing the park’s existing children’s play area.
“The goal is to create an inclusive space where community members can engage in physical activity free of charge,” said Ms Sthembile Simelane, Chief Executive Officer of the Siteki Town Council. “By providing this facility, we aim to combat rising obesity rates and promote overall well-being within our community.”
