Mbabane – Standard Bank Eswatini on Monday celebrated the winners of its Choose Standard Bank campaign, rewarding customers who participated after the campaign was launched on 15 October.

The celebration took place at selected shopping centres, where some of the 12 winners received instant cash prizes of up to E500 on the spot, while others had their groceries fully paid for. The campaign, also referred to as the festive competition, selected winners during October and November, with a total prize value of E850,000.

Speaking during the prize giving, Head of Brand and Marketing at Standard Bank Eswatini, Sanele Khumalo, said the bank decided to recognise 12 winners in line with the total prize money allocated for the campaign. He explained that the competition remains open until 31 January, giving more customers a chance to take part.

Khumalo said the rewards go beyond cash, as the bank has been visiting different locations to personally give back to customers through instant prizes and grocery support as a gesture of appreciation.

He added that from February 2026, the winners will travel to Cape Town with their partners for a getaway arranged by the bank.

Khumalo said the campaign is also aimed at encouraging emaSwati to use bank cards instead of carrying cash, particularly during the festive season when people are often targeted by criminals. He noted that card usage reduces risk and promotes safer transactions for customers across the country.
