Maseru – On December 3, 2025, Her Excellency Ms. Rasa Jankauskaitė, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Lesotho, presented her Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Letsie III at the Royal Palace. Ambassador Jankauskaitė succeeds H.E. Ms. Sigutė Jakštonytė, who completed her diplomatic mission.
The new ambassador brings a wealth of experience, having previously served in Lithuania’s missions across the United Kingdom, Spain, China, the European Union, and as Ambassador to South Africa, with accreditation to Angola, Botswana, and Mozambique.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lesotho and Lithuania in 2000, the two nations have collaborated on various fronts, including economic development, investment, and sustainable growth. Ambassador Jankauskaitė’s appointment is seen as a step towards further strengthening these ties.
