Mbabane – Two more Third Country Nationals (TCNs) received in Eswatini under the bilateral arrangement between the governments of Eswatini and the United States of America have left the Kingdom for their respective countries of origin.
One of the two, a national of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), departed Eswatini on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and has since arrived safely in the DRC, where he was reunited with his family.
The second TCN, a national of Cameroon, left the Kingdom yesterday, Thursday, September 3, 2026, after the Government completed the necessary arrangements for his voluntary return.
The latest departures follow the successful repatriation of three other TCNs in recent weeks, bringing the total number of nationals voluntarily repatriated under the process to five.
The government, through Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli, said the two nationals had been received in the Kingdom as part of an existing bilateral arrangement between Eswatini and the United States.
Mdluli said the Government remained committed to ensuring that the rights, dignity and well-being of TCNs were respected and protected during their temporary stay in Eswatini.
At the same time, the Government said it remained responsible for safeguarding the security, sovereignty and interests of the Kingdom and its people.
The government said it would continue providing the public with relevant updates on further developments concerning the TCNs as and when appropriate.
