Dr. Nxumalo challenged the class of 2025 not to wait for opportunities but to create them.

Quoting Nelson Mandela, she reminded graduates that, “It always seems impossible until it is done,” urging them to choose courage over fear and purpose over hesitation.

Echoing earlier remarks by Dr. Hlongwane, she encouraged graduates to go into the world as problem-solvers who meet challenges with creativity, innovation and a can-do spirit. “Our nation needs people who don’t wait for solutions but actively create them,” she added.

In her address, the acting minister also commended industry partners who continue to collaborate with ECOT to ensure students are equipped with practical, industry-aligned skills.

“Your partnership strengthens the bridge between the lecture room and the workplace, and for that, we are deeply grateful,” she said, highlighting the critical role of industry in shaping a competitive and relevant TVET sector.

Special appreciation was also extended to the Taiwan Technical Mission, recognised for its steadfast support in enhancing the institution’s learning environment and advancing innovation. Dr. Nxumalo praised the Mission’s contributions for helping align ECOT with global standards.

Building on existing progress, Dr. Nxumalo said ECOT is strategically positioned to become a leading force in digital integration, producing graduates capable of driving Eswatini’s technological advancement.

“Become that vibrant centre of innovation, producing visionary graduates who will drive Eswatini’s digital future and transform the possibilities of our nation,” she urged.

To the 276 graduates, she delivered a final message of encouragement and pride:

“Go forth and lead. Go forth and innovate. Go forth and uplift your families, your communities, and ultimately, the entire nation.”

As the ceremony concluded, the atmosphere was filled with celebration, hope and national pride as graduates embraced a new chapter, one defined by ambition, resilience and boundless potential.
