Manzini – Manzini Wanderers Football Club has taken a major step toward strengthening its internal structures by appointing experienced administrator, Jerry Mbazo Gamedze, as the new director of operations (DOO), effective immediately.
The club’s board of directors announced the appointment in a statement yesterday, describing Gamedze as a seasoned leader with a strong background in organisational management.
His arrival is expected to bring renewed stability to the club, which has been working to streamline its operations and reinforce professionalism at all levels.
According to the board, Gamedze will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the club, executing strategic objectives, and ensuring that Wanderers’ values and standards are consistently upheld. His role will include tightening internal systems, improving operational efficiency, and guiding the club toward long-term sustainable growth.
“The board has full confidence in his capability to steer the ship,” the statement read, adding that Gamedze’s appointment signals Wanderers’ commitment to accountability, excellence, and strengthened governance both on and off the pitch.
Supporters, players, staff and partners were urged to rally behind him as he assumes the key position, with the Board emphasising unity as the club enters what it hopes will be a more stable and progressive era.
