Mbabane – FNB Eswatini has pledged E500,000 to SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini to support its Child-Headed Households (CHH) Project, the bank announced the pledge on November 22, 2025.
The CHH program assists children who have lost both parents and are forced to lead their households. Currently, 180 orphaned and vulnerable children across Eswatini benefit from the initiative, receiving essential support including food, education assistance, psychosocial care, safe shelter, and life-skills development.
FNB Eswatini Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thokozani Dlamini said the Foundation’s support reflects the bank’s commitment to uplifting communities through initiatives that address pressing social challenges.
“Supporting child-headed households is more than a charitable act; it is a moral duty. These children merit dignity, protection, and equal opportunities. The FNB Foundation is proud to partner with SOS Children’s Villages to ensure that no child is left behind,” he stated.
For over three decades, SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini has been a key player in child protection, providing residential care, family strengthening initiatives, youth empowerment programmes, and community-based interventions. The organisation continues to uphold its vision that every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect, and security.
“This is more than financial support, it is a message of hope to every child in our care,” said Andile Phindile Nhleko-Makama, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini. “It tells them that they matter, that they are seen, and that their future is important to this country.”
