Mbabane – The Sunset Concert, a popular platform for local artists, will take place at the spacious SibaneSami Hotel on November 22, 2025. The move from last year’s venue, Ekupholeni Guest House, is aimed at accommodating a larger audience and improving the event experience.
Celumusa ‘Ceceboy’ Mkhatshwa, an event organiser and performer, confirmed the new venue, expressing his excitement for the concert’s growth. “We’ve moved to SibaneSami Hotel to offer a more convenient and larger space for our audience. We’re looking forward to seeing more people attend and support local talent,” Mkhatshwa said.
This year’s event, themed “A Rare Stage,” continues its mission of celebrating inclusivity, particularly by featuring talented local artists with disabilities. Notable performances include Sihle Mdziniso, who recently participated in the Mother of All Gospel Shows competition, and Nothando Dlamini, a visually impaired artist.
While the concert’s featured artists are known for Gospel music, Mkhatshwa has encouraged them to explore different genres. Attendees can expect a mix of Classical & Opera, Afro-soul, Jazz & Acoustic, and Pop & Contemporary performances.
The event lineup features local artists such as Zinia, Sethu Magagula, Mongezi Simelane, and Ceceboy Mkhatshwa. Opera star Mongezi Simelane will bring a fusion of Jazz and cross-genre collaborations, while Ceceboy Mkhatshwa, a rising Pop Opera sensation, is set to impress with his emotive delivery. Zinia will perform a blend of contemporary Pop and Acoustic sounds, while Sethu Magagula will energize the Afro-pop segment of the night.
