Mbabane – Gospel music filled the Mandvulo Grand Hall on November 15 as Eswatini’s Nothando Hlophe and South Africa’s Sindi Ntombela led the Year-End Thanksgiving Prayer with stirring performances.
Thousands of worshippers attended the event, including His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, members of the Royal Family, the Prime Minister, and other senior officials. The hall was filled to capacity as the duo took to the stage, drawing the crowd into heartfelt worship.
Hlophe, a household name in Eswatini gospel music, performed her popular ‘Methodist Medley’, which has surpassed two million views on YouTube and continues to chart on Spotify. As she sang, worshippers responded with joy and gratitude, lifting their hands and joining in dance. Even dignitaries were seen participating in the spirited praise led by Hlophe’s emotive line, ‘Ngicela ungembatfe Nkhosi (Please cover me God).’
Ntombela complemented the performance, contributing her powerful voice to the collective expression of faith. Overflow areas outside the main hall mirrored the intensity inside, with large screens allowing thousands more to join in the worship experience.
