MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders FC General Manager, Richard Makhoba, has urged supporters to maintain unity and continue showing unwavering support as the club works to strengthen its away performance.
Makhoba expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Highlanders’ faithful who turned up in numbers for the recent fixture against Malanti Chiefs at Killarney Stadium in Pigg’s Peak. He said the impressive early turnout — with over 40 supporters already seated before kickoff — demonstrated the passion and loyalty that defines boMagebhula.
Emphasizing the importance of togetherness, Makhoba said unity was the foundation on which the club’s success depends.
“As the general manager of the club, I believe in unity and I urge everyone who is wearing our club colours as Mbabane Highlanders AM FC to push and strive for unity,” he said.
Despite challenging conditions during the away match, Makhoba commended the team’s determination and the fans’ energy, which he said helped the Black Bull secure a positive result. He reaffirmed the team’s resolve to collect maximum points in future away games. The GM also applauded supporters for buying club replicas in large numbers, noting that the sight of fans clad in black and gold elevated the atmosphere in the stands. He singled out Mduduzi Dlamini for providing transport to enable fans to travel and support the team.
Looking ahead, Makhoba called on supporters to fill Mavuso Stadium this Friday, November 14, when Highlanders take on Sisonke FC. He added that key players Andile Mpisane, Ndumiso Dlamini, Vusi Vilakati, and Msimisi Zwane could return from injury in time for the fixture.
“The spirit we have shown must continue. Let’s come together, fill the stadium, and back our boys,” Makhoba said.
