Mbabane – EU Charge d’Affaires to Eswatini, Jose Becerra, has commended the role of young people in promoting peace as he bid farewell to Busiswa Dlamini, Chairperson of the EU-Eswatini Youth Advisory Board, who will travel to Brussels this weekend.
Dlamini is set to participate in the “Second EU Conference on Youth, Peace and Security: Celebrating 10 years of the UN Security Council Resolution 2250”, scheduled for 10 to 14 November 2025.

Speaking during the send-off, Becerra said the European Union was proud to have Dlamini represent Eswatini at the high-level gathering. He noted that young people play an important role in peacebuilding and can take the lead in mediation and reconciliation processes, particularly in today’s global climate.
