Ezulwini -MTN Eswatini has increased its sponsorship of the MTN Premier League from E7 million to E7.5 million for the 2026/27 season.
The increase was announced yesterday during the official launch of the new Premier League season held at the MTN headquarters in EZulwini.
The latest sponsorship boost comes as MTN continues its long-standing partnership with Eswatini’s top-flight football league, which has now stretched beyond two decades.
MTN Chief Executive Officer Jerry Soko said the relationship between the telecommunications giant and the Premier League was about more than simply providing financial sponsorship.
“Partnership has never simply been about sponsorship,” Soko said.
The increase to E7.5 million further strengthens MTN’s commitment to the Premier League as the 2026/27 season gets underway.
The partnership has played a significant role in supporting the country’s premier football competition for more than 20 years, with MTN remaining closely associated with the growth and development of the game.
The new season is expected to bring another chapter to the long-running relationship between MTN and the Premier League, with clubs now turning their attention to the battle for league honours.
The sponsorship increase was one of the key highlights of yesterday’s launch, setting the tone for the 2026/27 campaign.
