MBABANE — The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office hosted the Multi-Sectoral Technical Team on Violence at United Nations House this week, bringing together government ministries, international partners, and civil society for a two-day strategy meeting.
The sessions focused on coordination and planning for the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Officials discussed ways to implement the National Strategy to End Violence in Eswatini 2023–2027 and enforce key legislation, including the Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Act of 2018.
Partners such as the European Union, through initiatives like the Hlonipheka; Thriving for Dignity Programme, provide technical and financial support, ensuring advocacy and interventions are evidence-based and inclusive.
Government and partners stressed the importance of a united approach that engages women, girls, men, and boys, promoting a culture of respect, dignity, and zero tolerance for violence across the Kingdom.
