Lozitha Palace – His Majesty King Mswati III received Letters of Credence from three newly accredited envoys to the Kingdom of Eswatini during a ceremony held yesterday at Lozitha Royal Palace. The diplomats include Botswana’s High Commissioner Dr Sanji Mmasenono Monageng, Equatorial Guinea’s Ambassador PE Nguema Buna, and Rwanda’s High Commissioner Colonel (Rtd) Donat Ndamage.

Welcoming the new envoys, His Majesty called for stronger African cooperation to tackle common challenges such as unemployment and health issues while promoting trade and tourism across the continent.

Dr Monageng noted that Eswatini and Botswana established diplomatic relations in 1966 and continue to maintain warm ties. She said the Kingdom holds a special place among Batswana, particularly in education and tourism. She revealed that a number of Botswana’s government-sponsored students are enrolled in Eswatini institutions, and that Eswatini has been offered a training slot at the Botswana Defence and Command Staff College.

Ambassador Nguema Buna extended greetings from President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, conveying friendship and solidarity between the two nations. He said the presentation of credentials was proof of the mutual respect and esteem shared by both countries.
