Mhlangatane – The Ministry of Health, through its Health Promotion team and in partnership with the National Malaria Program, the TB Program, and the World Health Organization, brought vital health services directly to the community of Ntsinini in Mhlangatane Inkhundla.
Residents accessed malaria and tuberculosis testing, non-communicable disease screenings, and cancer checks, along with health education on prevention and early detection. The outreach aimed to improve community health by encouraging early diagnosis and promoting healthier lifestyles.
Health officials reminded residents that malaria is transmitted by mosquitoes and warned to seek medical attention immediately if symptoms such as fever, chills, or headaches appear, noting that early treatment saves lives.
Partners including Taiwan ICDF and local community members supported the initiative, helping to ensure the outreach reached its full potential.
