Mbabane – Nsingizini Hotspurs Football Club has formally lodged a complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding two matches against Tanzania’s Simba SC, citing the use of ineligible technical staff.
The club alleges that Simba SC fielded Mr. Pantev Dimitar Nikolaev, their head coach, without the required qualifications, in both the first leg on 19 October 2025 and the second leg. CAF rules state that a coach without proper certification is not permitted to sit on the bench during inter-club competitions.
Nsingizini Hotspurs also claim that Simba SC circumvented regulations by registering staff who were not eligible to appear on matchday. Among those listed were Mr. Seleman Abdallan Matola, who was seated in the grandstand due to missing documents, Mr. Darian Oliveria Goncalves Wilken, the first assistant coach, and Wayne Sandilands, the former goalkeeper coach at Raja Athletic Club.
The complaint notes that Nikolaev was listed as team manager on both matchday sheets, while Mr. Boyko Kamaenov Simeonov, an assistant coach, was incorrectly registered as team staff due to lacking credentials. Nsingizini Hotspurs say both officials actively participated in coaching during the two matches.
The club, led by President Mr. Derrick Shiba and management committee members Mthokozisi Ngobe, Mbekiseni Shongwe, Mphikeleli Dlamini, Thulani Shiba, and Sonnyboy Ngobe, is seeking CAF intervention to address the violations.
