Mbabane – Eswatini gospel artist Nothando Hlophe has released a YouTube video for her song Babheka Kuye Medley from her latest album A New Dawn. The video premiered on Monday evening at 8pm on her official YouTube channel and was recorded live at Mavuso Trade Center in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The song title comes from the Zulu Bible verse Psalm 34 verse 5 which says, “Babheka kuye phezulu, bakhanya ubuso babo abusoze bajabha.” The verse means “Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never darkened with shame.” The song celebrates faith and hope and has been recorded by several gospel artists over the years, with Hlophe offering her own heartfelt rendition.
Babheka Kuye Medley is track number two on the 13-track album A New Dawn, released in 2025. The song runs for eight minutes and eighteen seconds and forms part of a collection including Igazi Lika Jesu, Nkosi yezul’uNgcwele, Izwi lakho Medley, Sikunika Ludvumo, Awuwedwa, Holy One, Uyaphendula, Bayede Zulu, Methodist Medley, Angiyi Ndawo, Sinikiwe Igama, and Sithumela Wena.
