Mbabane – The 23:28 Lounge’s owner, Thembinkosi Mthethwa’s annual All black party packed a full house over the weekend.
The multifaceted Mthethwa who is also an Ekhaya actor, businessman, voiceover artist, and producer, marked the event at his chic establishment at Checkers business park, Mbabane.
It attracted fellow actors and notable personalities including Baka Ngwane lead actor, Samkelo Dlamini, award-winning Liphupho Film Director, Siphosethu Sibandze, the ever-stylish MC Nqaba Ginindza, InstaCash’s Thizalami Dube, brand influencer and businesswoman, Zinzi Thwala, Makoti Festival Executive Isidoro Pinto, Nomathemba Xaba, and Mrs Party Fifi Mthethwa, among others.
Most guests embraced the all-black dress code, with a few opting for creative variations, adding to the event’s sophisticated vibe.
The party kicked off in the evening and carried on into the early hours of Saturday, treating guests to a stellar lineup of local talent. Headlining the evening was Afro-pop vocalist and producer Flame Masco (Sandile Maseko), whose vibrant performance kept the energy high throughout the night.

Though Thembinkosi’s birthday falls on September 23, the party is traditionally held closer to the weekend, allowing friends and fans to join the extended celebration.
Reflecting on last year’s 2024 edition, held on September 27 at the same venue, the event drew an impressive crowd of actors, artists, DJs, and business personalities. Highlights included appearances by South African actors Thulani Mtsweni (_Isiphetho_, _Gomora_) and Thobani Nzunza (_Isitha_, _eHostela_), along with electrifying sets from Double Drop (Mozambique)* and local heavyweights DJ Mbo, DJ Cup, Zinia, Sbu Drum DJ, Sir Rhythmic, and comedian Mdura.
