Sidvokodvo – South African hip-hop giant K.O is set to headline the Hipnotik Festival 2025, taking place on October 4–5 at Riders Ranch, Sidvokodvo.
Sakhile Nkhambule who is part of the organising team said, “the legend returns,” cementing the artist’s reputation in being featured in premier platforms such as the Hipnotik Festival, adding that K.O is expected to deliver a high-energy performance that will close the festival on a memorable note.
K.O is known for co-founding the hip-hop group Teargas and launching his successful solo career after the group disbanded. He popularized the “Skhanda” sound, a fusion of hip-hop and South African street culture, with his platinum-selling debut solo album Skhanda Republic. K.O has also founded Skhanda World, a lifestyle brand, and remains a significant cultural influencer in South African music and fashion.
Not only is the announcement stirring excitement across the region, with fans eagerly anticipating the return of ‘Mr. Cashtime,’ K.O, has remained a dominant force in the music scene with his string of chart-topping hits and collaborations.
The Hipnotik Festival has grown into one of the continent’s most anticipated events, blending music, art, and lifestyle. The 2025 edition promises two full days of live performances.
While K.O takes the headline slot, the stage will also feature a dynamic mix of performers from Eswatini and beyond. Among those announced is Stella Jacobs, a rising Afro-pop and trap sensation, alongside several regional acts who will showcase the diversity and creativity shaping today’s African music landscape.
Nkambule said with the blend of established stars and emerging talent highlights, Hipnotik’s mission was to put Eswatini on the map as a cultural hotspot while giving local artists a stage to shine.
Gates open on October 4, with festivities running continuously until the afternoon of October 5 at the Riders Ranch in Sidvokodvo which is again going to be transformed into a vibrant hub of music and culture, offering food stalls, merchandise vendors, and entertainment zones for festivalgoers.
