Mbabane – The Eswatini government has opened applications for fully funded scholarships and internships in Japan, offering young professionals a chance to gain advanced skills in business, policy, and sustainable development.

The opportunities are part of Japan’s ABE Initiative (13th Batch) and the SDGs Global Leader Program, run in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The ABE Initiative allows recipients to pursue a Master’s degree at top Japanese universities alongside practical internships, aimed at strengthening industrial growth and business ties between Africa and Japan. The SDGs Global Leader Program focuses on developing policy and development expertise to tackle global challenges and foster lasting partnerships with Japan.

Successful applicants will receive comprehensive support, including tuition, airfare, and living allowances, with studies set to begin in 2026. Eligible candidates are Swazi professionals holding a bachelor’s degree, relevant work experience, and proficiency in English.
