Mbabane: Is the devil rearing its ugly head on the Fonteyn, Golf Course traffic circle road? In hardly 5 hours after a freak accident occurred at the Golf Course traffic circle this morning, another one has followed. The accident happened 50 metres away from the earlier scene, at the turn-off leading to the bridge next to the golf course.
According to the traumatized driver, a male of Mozambican origin, the Isuzu van lost its brakes and drove onto the patch dividing the lanes. He said when he took to the steering wheel he didn’t know that the vehicle’s brakes were faulty.
When this reporter came to the scene, fuel was dripping from the fuel tank which sent fears that it would catch fire and go up in flames. In the process the car incurred a punctured tyre and broken front bumper, which lay on the ground after it was detached from the front part.
Fortunately, no one was injured in this accident and the driver was alone in the car. At the time of this publication neither the police nor the paramedics had descended on the scene
