Mbabane – The Eswatini Environment Authority has sent two female technicians, Sindiswa Zwane and Xolile Magagula, to Germany for the COOL training programme from 15 to 27 September 2025.
The send-off was officiated by the Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Jane Mkhonta-Simelane. The training, led by GIZ, focuses on environmentally friendly cooling technologies and aims to build capacity in developing countries.
During the programme, Zwane and Magagula will learn practical skills in installing and servicing air conditioners using natural refrigerants like R290, which are climate-friendly, ozone-safe, and energy-efficient.
The authority said the technicians’ participation will strengthen Eswatini’s green transition and contribute expertise in sustainable cooling solutions.
